Chuang Yen Monastery Plans Introduction to Buddhism Programs

Chuang Yen Monastery on Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi is President Rt. 301 in Kent will hold a oneday program entitled Introduction to Buddhism, on Saturday, April 28, from 9am to 5pm.

The program will include Meditation, Lectures and a Group Discussion. The principal presenters are yen Rev. Thich Tri Hoang and Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi.

Ven. Rev. Hoang was ordained at age twenty-four in Viet Nam. He studied under many masters including Thich Nhat Hanh. He has led meditation retreats in the United States, Holland, France and England, and has taught at Central Connecticut State University. and Editor of the Buddhist Publication Society. He has translated several collections of classic Buddhist texts, including In the Buddha's Words (Wisdom Publications, 2005), and is the author of many books including "The Noble Eightfold Path" and "A Comprehensive Manual of Abhidhamma".
