Temple Beth-El Presents Jonathan Tobin as part of Eckstein Lecture Series

On Friday evening April 20th Jonathan Tobin will speak at Temple Beth-El as part of the annul Eckstein Lecture series. The annual program was established by the Eckstein family in memory of Dr. Marc Eckstein, a long time congregant at Temple Beth-El.

Jonathan S. Tobin Is executive editor of the Jewish Publishing Group of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. In that capacity, he serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Jewish Exponent, Greater Philadelphia's weekly Jewish newspaper of record as well as Inside Magazine, a lifestyle quarterly. Under his leadership the Exponent has won over 120 awards for editorial and graphic excellence, solidifying Its reputation as one of the most honored Anglo-Jewish newspapers in the world, as well as one of the oldest. On an individual basis, Mr. Tobin has won dozens of awards for commentary, editorial writing, features and arts criticism. He has been named the top columnist for Jewish newspapers as well as the top columnist in Greater Philadelphia several times.

A native of New York City, Mr. Tobin attended local schools and is a graduate of Columbia College of Columbia University. Mr. Tobin will speak following 8pm services. The Temple Beth-El Youth Choir will also be performing during Shabbat services. Come and listen to their joyful sound. The program is free and all are welcome.
