Peekskill Man Arrested on Putnam Valley Warrant
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the April 16, 2007 arrest of a Peekskill resident on an outstanding warrant.
At about 9:48pm on April 16th, Deputy Sheriff Luigi Osso arrived at the City of Peekskill Police Department, located in Westchester County, in order to take Alberto Garcia, 41, of Peekskill, into custody on the warrant. Earlier that day, Mr. Garcia was taken into custody by the Peekskill Police Department on an unrelated matter. During processing, Peekskill police learned Mr. Garcia was wanted by the Sheriffs Office.
Deputy Osso arrested Mr. Garcia on the warrant, issued by the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree. The defendant was arraigned by Putnam Valley Town Justice Louis DiCarlo and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash or bond. The defendant is scheduled to return to the Putnam Valley Court on May 10, 2007.
The underlying charge is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a minimum fine of $500.
