Mental Health Association Announces Parenting the Explosive Child Workshop Series
The Mental Health Association in Dutchess County, 253 Mansion Street, Poughkeepsie, is now accepting registrations for a special 5 session skillbuilding series, "Parenting The Explosive Child." The course will be held at the Arlington Branch Library located at 504 Haight Avenue in Poughkeepsie, beginning, May 3, 2007. The sessions will be held on Thursday mornings, 9:30 to 11:30am.
This education program was developed to help parents of children ages 2 to 11 improve parent and child interactions, learn effective ways to handle explosions, establish realistic expectations and help your child recognize, express and think through frustrations. There is no fee for this series. Pre-registration is required. The course will be taught by Marlene Taylor, M.P.S., Education &"Training Coordinator, of the Mental Health Association in Dutchess County.
