Wheelchair Athletes Receive Donation
Pan Gregorian Enterprises of Upper New York gave a donation for the VA Hudson Valley Veteran Wheelchair Athletes to participate in the Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games being held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, June 19-23, 2007. The games are sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs and Paralyzed Veterans of America and are the largest athletic wheelchair event in the world. Over 500 veterans from the United States and Great Britain participate in the games annually.
Two athletes received the donation at a Dinner Dance held on April 22, 2007, at Anthony's Pier 9. Steve Pilla stated, "On behalf of myself and fellow Hudson Valley veteran wheelchair athletes, we'd like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Pan Gregorians for their donation and support. This year, as in prior years, our participation in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games would not be possible without their generous support. We are looking forward to competing in the games in Milwaukee in June this year, and in future games for years to come."
