Howland Public Library Film Series Presents No Direction Home
On Friday, May 18 at 7pm., the Howland Public Library Film Series will be showing No Direction Home (2005) free to the public.
No Direction Home, an exhaustive film biography of rock legend Bob Dylan directed by Martin Scorsese, is a moving tribute to an American visionary. The documentary chronicles the influential singer-songwriter's resounding impact on contemporary music through never-before-seen footage, rare concert performances and interviews with Joan Baez, Mavis Staples, Allen Ginsberg, Pete Seeger and the intensely private Dylan himself. The film runs 208 minutes and is not rated.
The Howland Public Library is located at 313 Main Street in Beacon. Light refreshments will be served before and after the film.
