Club Fit and Support Connection Announce Second Annual Golf Outing
Club Fit is delighted to sponsor the second annual Support Connection Golf Outing, to be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at Hollow Brook Golf Club, located on Oregon Road in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Support Connection is a Yorktown Heights-based organization dedicated to providing emotional, social, and educational support services to women, their families and friends affected by breast and ovarian cancer. The entry deadline is July 13, and the cost to participate is $195 per golfer.
"After the tremendous success of last year's outing, Club Fit is very excited to once again be involved in this event," says Beth Beck, President of Club Fit and a member of Support Connection's Board of Directors. Katherine Quinn, Executive Director of Support Connection, adds, "We are so grateful to Club Fit for their continued commitment to helping us raise awareness about cancer, and to offering programs at their facilities that help women living with cancer feel better physically and emotionally."
The tournament is set up in a scramble format (each player in a foursome hits a shot then proceeds to the location of the best shot, then hits from this spot). The schedule is as follows: 9:30amRegistration Breakfast 9:45- 10:15am Putting Clinic 11:00am Tee Off 3:30pmBBQ and Awards Participants will have access to the club's practice range and putting green, and will enjoy a continental breakfast, the use of a cart, beverage cart service, and a barbecue. Club locker rooms & showers will also be made available. Raffles will be held, and prizes will be awarded for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin, as well as a $10,000 prize for a Hole in One. Hole sponsorships are available for $125, and include recognition in the Support Connection newsletter and in the North County News. Club Fit is a longtime corporate sponsor of Support Connection programs and special events, including the annual Support-A-Walk in October, and various fundraisers which have been held at the Jefferson Valley and Briarcliff Manor clubs.
