Museum's of Hudson Highlands Holds Annual Wildflower Sale
On Saturday, May 19, from 11am until 3pm the Museum of the Hudson Highlands will celebrate plants with an exquisite wildflower sale, rain or shine. At 1pm, shoppers are invited to join Bonnie Mangiaracina, a local wildflower enthusiast, at the Museum's Kenridge Farm location, Route 9W, Cornwall for a wildflower walk. Spend time selecting just the right wildflower for your garden. The plants being offered are not only beautiful but will assist wildlife in many ways. Meet gardeners of the area and learn about great tips for your own gardening.
Most plants will be in quart containers with a price range of $4 - $8. The money raised from this sale will go towards the museum's educational programs.
The Museum of the Hudson Highlands is dedicated to "creating responsible caretakers of the environment" by promoting an understanding and appreciation of the wildlife and natural beauty of the Hudson Highlands. It is a living outdoor classroom of forests, wetlands, ponds, streams, meadows, animals and farm fields. This sale is running in conjunction with the MHH Hike-A-Thon, which begins at 8:30am.
