Free Skin Cancer Detection Awareness Program Co- Sponsored by Putnam Hospital Center and American Cancer Society

Dr. Hoffman (standing) and Dr. DiGrandi (right) are shown screening Mahopac resident Arline Jetter at last year's event.
Skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancer. With summer here and its increased chance of exposure to harmful ultraviolet rays, area residents can take advantage of a free skin cancer detection awareness program cosponsored by Putnam Hospital Center and the Putnam County Unit of the American Cancer Society.

Volunteering their time for this year's screening will be dermatologists Salvatore DiGrandi, MD, of Pawling, Andrew Gutterman, MD, of Carmel, Cindy Hoffman, MD, of Carmel, MD, and Jeffrey Schachne, MD, of Somers and Jefferson Valley.

The free screening will be held on Wednesday, June 27th, from 4:30 to 8pm., at the Carmel hospital and registration is required by calling 845-628- 2003.
