Young Musicians Perform at Haldane Elementary School Spring Concert
Haldane Elementary School musicians presented a Spring Concert for their parents and peers. The program opened with a group of third grade recorder players highlighting their newly learned skills. They played Hot Cross Buns, Who Has Seen the Wind?, Skin & Bones, Acka Backa and Peace Must Be Our Goal. The recorder players included Weronika Bajsicki; Anna Birn; Maisy Curto; Jerome Famularo; Tess Foster; Gavin Koepke; Phelan Maguire; Eric Rizzi; David Rotando; Austin Semple; Edward Tacuri and Melissa Tringali. The 4/5 Chorus sang Simple Gifts, California Dreamin with Jordan Kenna ('08) on guitar, Danny Boy with Sean O'Malley on bagpipes and The Riddle with Jordan Kenna once again on guitar and featured vocalists Emma Garschagen, Cali Schweikhart, Julia Olsen and Elizabeth O'Malley.
The Beginning Band played Lovely Evening- Round, Down the Field March, Snare Drum Solo with soloists Jakob Howell, Brittney Lavitt and Jenna van der Merwe. They closed with Let's Go Band with guest conductor Greg Casement. The Advanced Band performed the Star Spangled Banner conducted by Greg Casement, Jamaica Jack with djembe solo by Aidan Gallagher, Devil with a Blue Dress, Swashbuckler's March and Incantation & Ritual.
