Haldane Leo Club Aids Katrina Youth

During the past year, members of the Haldane Leo (Lions) Club raised money to purchase school supplies for young victims of Hurricane Katrina. They raised enough money to package over 60 pounds of school supplies that were needed by the elementary students in Slidell, Louisiana. The packages were forwarded to the Slidell Lions Club, who were able to determine the school population that was most needy.
The Haldane Leo Club is an official activity of Lions International that encourages young men and women to serve others in their community and around the world. The Haldane Leo Club is sponsored by the Cold Spring Lions Club and Mrs Ginny Pidala, Haldane teacher, is the advisor.
