Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute Co- Sponsors Northeast Ecumenical Workshop
Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Sullivan, SA of Graymoor (left) and Rev. Dr. Diane C. Kessler, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Council of Churches lead
panel discussion on the shape of Christian unity.
Recently appointed ecumenical staff and other interested individuals attended a series of workshops and lectures sponsored by the Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute, Massachusetts Council of Churches, Paulist Office for Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations, and Sisters of Our Lady of Sion to help them understand the history and theory of the ecumenical movement along with current issues affecting it.
The Graymoor Ecumencial & Interreligious Institute is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, a Roman Catholic religious order of brothers and priests founded in the Episcopal Church in 1898 by Father Paul Wattson whose worldwide ministries include Christian unity and interfaith dialogue among Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Buddhists; serving the homeless and those suffering from alcoholism, drug addictions, and HIV/AIDS; preaching the gospel in parishes around the world, and offering respite and hope to those in need of spiritual renewal.
