Children at The Learning Center Create a Rainbow of Flowers

Spring is here, and to celebrate, the children of The Learning Center at Philipstown Recreation set out to create a rainbow of flowers in front of the Community Center. Parents graciously donated plantings and joined in on the planting process. Armed with trowels and gardening gloves, the preschool children and parents carefully planted an assortment of beautiful flowers. Our rainbow would not have been possible without the generous donations from the families of TLC, Maple Lawn, Philipstown Farm Market, Lowes, Plant Depot, Walmart and Willow Ridge.
The Learning Center embraces a child-centered philosophy which promotes positive self-esteem and individuality in a warm and nuturing environment. Enrollment for the pre-school age program is now being taken for Fall 2007. For more information please call Patti Pelican at 424-4618.
