Hudson River Healthcare and The Preservation Company to Present 'Pieces Of Joy' Art Auction And Reception

On Saturday, June 9, Hudson River HealthCare and The Preservation Company will honor Westchester County Commissioner of Health, Dr. Joshua Lipsman and Artist, Lisa Grubb of the Happy Dog Gallery, when they proudly present their summer event, Pieces of Joy, a celebration of local artists and community spirit. The event will include a Reception catered by graduates of The Culinary Institute of America, and Live and Silent Auctions, beginning promptly at 5:30pm.

Featured in the auctions are original paintings, sculptures and other items created by local artists, including Lisa Grubb, Andrew Gelfand, John Payne, Jerry Pinkney, Mark Sadan, Wilfredo Morel, and Jeffrey Schrier. The event will also provide an opportunity for participants to bid on such items as spa services, fine dining packages, jewelry and more. And, twenty copies of a Limited Edition poster by artist Jeffrey Schrier will be for sale. The event will also host an exclusive VIP "Meet the Artists" Reception prior to the main event. All activities will be held at Tallix in Beacon, located at 310 Fishkill Avenue.

Dr. Lipsman has a long, demonstrated record of support of public health and, especially, community health centers and the exemplary services and programs they provide to thousands of families in Westchester and throughout the Hudson Valley. Lisa Grubb's paintings have been shown at galleries in SoHo and the Hamptons, as well as auctions, expos and fundraising events. Her uninhibited, vibrant creations captivate everyone from seasoned art collectors to young children.

Bidders can preview a portion of the eclectic, one-of-akind collection online and start the bidding process at www.hrhcare.cmarket.com. Your purchase will not only give you a beautiful piece of artwork, it will also provide an opportunity to support your community. All funds raised from this auction will go directly to the efforts of Hudson River HealthCare and The Preservation Company, two not-forprofit organizations who believe that access to quality health care and housing is a right of everyone, not the privileged few.
