Visit Ross Gardens to Benefit Garden Conservancy's Open Days Program and Philipstown Garden Club Manitoga and Stonecrop Gardens also part of Open Days event this Sunday
On Sunday, June 10, 2007, visit the Ross Gardens, 43 Snake Hill Road, Garrison, 10am to 4pm, a private garden open through The Garden Conservancy's Open Days Program. This garden is a series of vignettes that flow into each other on five acres overlooking the Hudson River. The gardens are designed and maintained by the owner, Arthur Ross, and include a water garden, a moon (white) garden, meditation garden, rock garden, interesting daylilies, a fern garden, shrub garden (azaleas, rhododendrons, mountain laurels), cutting gardens, and garden sculptures, along with a waterfall and a new koi pond. Garden paths give easy access to many unusual flowers. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be shared with the Philipstown Garden Club.
