Billions Of Dollars More to Continue an Illegal War?
To the Editor:

This is outrageous. We can't stop terrorists' attacks when we don't know when or where they will occur. Our politicians are putting even more soldiers' lives at risk. They're in harm's way, facing the constant threat of being killed daily by civilian clothed suicide bombers. Many families are experiencing hardship and sorrow from all the wrong decisions.

The glaciers are melting. The sea level is rising. Nothing can stop Mother Nature from sinking all of us unless our first priority is to fight global warming to prevent disastrous effects that could wipe out life entirely. We all have to do our part to help this planet begin to recover from man's abuse. Instead, Congress is wasting billions of dollars on destruction in Iraq.

The Iraqi soldiers, trained for years by the U.S. military, should be ready to fight their own sectarian disputes. More thousands of lives and billions of dollars are being wasted on Bush's wrong war in Iraq instead of in Afghanistan.

The Democrats promised a deadline to bring the troops home. Americans are fed up with politicians lies and broken promises. Congress has, again, ignored the will of the people.
