Christopher Hustis Receives Sport Honors

Christopher Hustis, of Nelsonville, received 2 sport honors this week from NY Military Academy, located in Cornwall. First, he was presented with the 2007 NYMA Baseball Pitching Leader Award. This award is presented to the pitcher with the most outstanding performance during the 2007 season. Mr. Les McMillen, NYMA Athletic Director and Varsity Baseball Head Coach, had the honor to present this award to Christopher, completing his first year as a NYMA Cadet. Christopher posted a 0.97 ERA for the Knights and lead his team in number of wins. The Knights made it all the way to the Hudson Valley Athletic League Championship, taking a loss to Oakwood Friends.

Christopher's achievements continued as he was named the 2007 Hudson Valley Athletic League All-League award for NYMA Baseball. The All- League award is given to just one player, per team, in the HVAL which is comprised of 11 schools. Christopher is a junior at NYMA and looks forward to an even better season as a senior next year!
