Local Author and Illustrator Team Up for The Way We Garden Now
Whiteside and Gergely to sign books at Van Brunt Gallery
On Friday, June 22 , from 7- 9pm, Garrison author, Katherine Whiteside and Garrison illustrator, Pete Gergely will be signing copies of their first collaborative effort, The Way We We Garden Now at the Van Brunt Gallery , 460 Main St, in Beacon.
Katherine Whiteside, a down to earth and lively garden writer has produced the definitive gardening Bible in this, her latest of many garden books. When she called on Pete Gergely to do the illustrations, he leapt at the chance. What they have produced is a playful, entertaining and easy-toread step by step guide to 41 gardening projects perfect for just about anyone who wants to get their hands dirty.
Everyone is welcome to come to the signing where books will be available, as will wine and refreshments. Art Labriola will be performing live music. Carl Van Brunt has generously donated his gallery for the evening, which promises to be a lot of fun.
