Franciscan Friars of the Atonement Celebrate Jubilees at Graymoor

The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement will hold a Jubilee Celebration on June 23, 2007 for seven friars observing 60, 50 and 25 year milestones. The V. Rev. James F. Puglisi, SA, Minister General, will be the principal celebrant and homilist at a Mass to be held at 11am in Pilgrim Hall, Graymoor.

Marking twenty-five years since their first profession of vows are Fr. Daniel Callahan, SA who currently serves as the Vice President, Mission Services at St. James Mercy Health System in Hornell, NY and Fr. Michael Seed, SA, the Ecumenical Advisor for the Archdiocese of Westminster in London, England.

Celebrating Golden Jubilees (50 years since coming to the community at Graymoor) are Bro. John Baptist Hildreth, SA, a staff member at the Paul Wattson Friary in Toronto, Canada; Bro. Hugh MacIsaac, SA, Hospital Chaplain for St Vincent Hospital, Brock Fahrni Pavilion & Mount Saint Joseph Hospital in Vancouver, Canada; Fr. Joseph DiMauro, SA, Graymoor staff member; and Bro. DePorres Poncia, SA, who directs visitors and callers from the Information Center at Graymoor. Fr. Alban Carroll, SA, who recently retired as Parochial Vicar from St. Andrew the Apostle in Apex, North Carolina, will observe his Diamond Jubilee (60 Years).

The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement are a religious order of brothers and priests founded in 1898 by Father Paul Wattson.
