Does Something in the PV Water Turn Democrats Into Republicans?
To the Editor:

As a follower of local politics, there must be something in the Putnam Valley water that one of the side effects that you become a Republican. The voters elect Democrats and oddly they turn Republican. Carmelo Santos seemed as Democrat as could be. Drank the water and oops - Republican. Can't blame Peter Kennedy on the water. He was one of those Republicans - became a Democrat - then went back to his true calling. Then there was Steve Johnson. Democrat, got into office, stayed a while, but after too much water, he was a Republican. Seems he was always more comfortable with Republicans.

Then there is Ms. Whetsel. I have to admit she always seemed to have those leanings. She's not quite all the way. However as her recent positions indicate, against the platform she ran on (and against the Supervisor she ran with) I won't be surprised if she announces a party change. Sam Davis - please - keep drinking bottled water. We need all the real Democrats left.
