Haldane Senior High School Spring Concert
The Haldane Senior High School Spring Concert was a great success. The program opened with the Jazz Band playing the James Bond Theme featuring Jake Harms on the guitar. The opening number was dedicated to the Class of 2007. Then they played Opus One with Matthew Pergamo on trumpet and Emma Gibson on bass. Their final number was Pick up the Pieces featuring Jeffrey Rizzi on tenor sax, Jordan Kenna on guitar and Greg Casement on the drums. The Blue Notes followed singing Down to the River (Spiritual) with soloists Jessica Neville, Kim Zaleski and Missy Gannon. They also performed Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy featuring soloist Missy Gannon, Matt Pergamo on trumpet and Jim Mechalakos on piano.
The High School Chorus sang Wanting Memories, Dirait-on and Oh Happy Day featuring soloists Missy Gannon and Shauna Kalantri. The Senior High School Band played Walking Frog (Two-step), A Disney Spectacular and American Festival March. The Blues Devils closed the show playing Radio Radio, Born to Run, Really Got a Hold on Me, Chain of Fools and I Summon You.
Congratulations to all of the talented musicians and to Blues Devils Director Mike Klubnick, Blue Notes Director Martha Mechalakos, Choral Director Meredith Nocton and Band Director Debbie Contini. Special thanks go to Scott Blackledge for assisting and performing with the Jazz Band.
