Timothy Dowd

Timothy Dowd, 49, of Feura Bush, NY died Tuesday at Albany Medical Center. He was born November 17, 1957 in Hackettstown, N.J. to the late Joseph Patrick and Fedela (Angelotti) Dowd. Since 1972 Timothy lived on the Family farm (Double D Farm) in Feura Bush. As a young teen he acquired the nick name "Tex" by wearing big brim cowboy hats, driving only brand new Cadillacs and having a huge personality, always looked at the bright side of life and will continue to be a great inspiration to all.

Diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at six years of age, he taught many a physician the oneness of mind, body and spirit by surviving what the medical community often told him he could not. An avid outdoorsman, poet and loving brother, uncle and friend, his garden overfloweth as did his intellect. He will be remembered for the beautiful spirit that was inside of him and his admirable strength and giving nature.

He is survived by 5 brothers: Joseph P. Dowd II, Liam Dowd and his wife Mary, Kelly Dowd and his wife Margaret, Bartholomew Dowd, Carmine Dowd, 3 Sisters: Patrice Shenn and husband Fred, Toni-Marie Dempf and husband Mark Katherine Bryson and husband James He is survived by Nieces and Nephews Joseph Dowd III, Jacqueline Francis, Luca, Joseph(Jody) Benjemin, Rebecca Joelyn, Elizabeth Ann, Jeremy, James, Devon, Tracy, Megan, Liam Gardner II, Emily Ann, Alyssa Jane, Hannah- Mae, Kellienne Faith and his great Nephews, Joseph Patrick IV, Brian and Zachary. Survived also by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at St Theresa's R.C. Church, Kenilworth, N.J. Interment was in the Graceland Memorial Park, NJ. Local arrangements are with the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham, N.Y.
