Seeking Donated Items for 4H Fair's Country-Living Auction
At every annual Putnam County 4-H Fair, there is something new and exciting, and this year is no exception. As the 4- H Fair celebrates its 36th anniversary on July 27- 29 at the Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park in Carmel, visitors will have an opportunity to participate in a Country-Living Auction.
The auction will take place on Saturday July 28 at 4pm. Outdoor items such as new and slightly used lawn, garden, patio and porch donations will be offered. In addition, Gift Cards, Event Tickets and Professional Services may also be available.
To make this auction successful, donations of the following items that are clean and in good condition are being accepted:
Lawn & Garden equipment and tools - tractor, cart, rotortiller, weed-whacker etc. Lawn & Garden products - compost, firewood, etc. Lawn & Garden Art - arbor, topiary, sundial, decorative planter, birdfeeder etc. Patio items - furniture, porch rocker, Adirondack chair, fire pit etc. Leisure Living - picnic baskets, weekend getaway etc. Sporting goods - fishing equipment, golf equipment, kayak, rowboat etc. Gift Certificates - products, services from businesses and restaurants; minimum $25 Ticketssporting events and activities, concerts, Broadway shows, and theaters Professional services - landscape design and consultation, auto detailing etc.
The auction proceeds will help support the Putnam County Cornell Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development, Environmental, and Community & Economic Vitality education programs.
To recognize your generosity, business and individuals donating items will be acknowledged in the Auction Program, (unless you wish to remain anonymous). We will pick up accepted items within Putnam, Northern Westchester, and Southern Dutchess Counties.
