Summer Fun Lives Up to Its Name Dear Editor,
Monday morning, I dropped our son off at Summer Fun at Glenclyffe, the summer camp which operates through the Philipstown Recreation Department. He has gone for the past two years and couldn't wait to get there this year. I am grateful to the Recreation Department for providing a fun summer camp to the community.
Besides the fun, the staff is wonderful. I love stopping by in the morning - everyone's smiling and upbeat. It's a great way to start the day. And I don't know how they do it, but they're still smiling at the end of a long day. The warm spirit at Summer Fun, from the administrators and counselors alike, is one of the reasons our son enjoys it so much. That and water balloon battles, building rockets, playing sports, tye-dying t-shirts, looking into microscopes, cooking, etc.. There's good old fashioned fun mixed in with new- fashioned fun. It's been a great experience for him. And it's great knowing he's in such good hands.
