2007 O'Neill High School Spring Sports Recap
Girls LaCrosse - 2007 Section 9 Class C Champions. Was defeated in the in the quarterfinals of State Playoffs by Nanuet. Congratulations on a great season once again.
Boys LaCrosse - 2007 Section 9 Class C Champions. Was defeated by Rye in the First round of State Playoffs. Congratulations on a great season once again.
Spring Track - Congratulations to Cory Reed, Kirby Kastner and Robb Quiller on their advancement to the 2007 State Track Field Championships in Kingston @ Dietz stadium. Cory Reed placed 3 in the 1600m and Robb Quiller placed 6th in the Pole Vault in Division 2 State Meet. Boys Golf- Matt Jaye, OCIAA Champion, placed 2nd in the Boys State Golf Championship help at Cornell University. Matt shot a 2nd round 66 to push a playoff for 1st place. The playoff was lost, but congratulations on an outstanding season. Girls Golf- Margaret Suchan qualified for the Girls State Golf Championship in East Syracuse at Fox Fire Country Club as a Section 9 representative.
End of the Year Senior Awards
Times Herald Record Scholar Athlete Award - This award goes to standout athletes with the highest academic achievements. Matt Jaye and Denali Johnson were the 2007 winners.
Waldo Wood Memorial Award - This award goes to a standout athlete in their 4 year High School career. Justin Meyers and Megan Mumford were the recipients of this award.
Colonel Alexander Pollack Memorial Award - This award goes to standout two-sport athlete with a B or better average. JR Downey and Allison Meese were the recipients of this award.
