PARC Hosts 10th Annual Benefit Golf Outing

Event returns to Centennial Golf Club and full day of golf & fun

PARC will host it's annual golf benefit on Monday, July 16, 2007 at the renowned Centennial Golf Club in Carmel, NY.

Recognized as a 501 c (3) in 1954, PARC provides programming and advocacy for over 640 children and adults with developmental disabilities within Putnam County and in southern Dutchess and northern Westchester counties. Money raised at PARC's fundraising events, including the golf outing, directly benefit and impact PARC's consumers and their programs.

This is PARC's premier sports event, featuring a full day of golf, food and fun! The day includes: 18 holes of golf (scramble format), cart, lunch, and longest drive and closet to the pin contests. This year, the outing will have THREE hole in one contests, including the $10,000 Mich Ultra Hole in One, and a chance to win two new cars from Brewster Ford and Park Lincoln/Mercury in Mahopac.

The day will also feature beverage service provided by D. Bertoline & Sons/Michelob Ultra, a Tommy Bahama Rum on-course bar & cocktail party, buffet awards dinner, silent auction and much more! This year's sponsors include Eagle Sponsor Rose & Kiernan Insurance, Cart Sponsor Broadview Networks, Lunch & Cocktail Party Sponsor Putnam Federal Credit Union, Daniel Stockfield Photography, Pow'r Against Tobacco, and Media Sponsor Taconic Press.

"This event is unlike other outings in the area," says Rand Bridget Otten, PARC's director of development. "We've created an exciting and elegant golf experience, with the help of nationally recognized sponsors, and we hope to increase participation this year to include 200 golfers from the region."

Designed by Larry Nelson, Centennial Golf Club is one of the area's best known and best regarded courses. Centennial has received a 4-star/outstanding rating from Golf Digest, called the "best public course for entertaining clients in the met area" by Business Week, and the "best public course" by The Journal News.

And for the non-golfer, tickets for the cocktail party, silent auction and dinner are also available. The cost is $75 per person and reservations are required.

Registration and lunch begins at 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. and the putting green and practice range will be open. Shotgun start at 1 p.m. This is a rain or shine event. Fees are $190 per golfer and $750 per foursome if paid by July 2. Price increases to $200 per person and $800 per foursome after July 2.

To register to play in PARC's 10th Annual Golf Outing, call Rand Bridget Otten, director of development, at 845-278- PARC, ext. 287. Golf sponsorships including hole sponsors ($150 per hole, or $100 for two or more holes) are still available. Additional details and registration forms are available at www.PutnamARC.org.
