Friends of Senior Citizens of Putnam County Sponsor "Over 50" Golf Tournament

It's that time of year again. GOLF time! And, the Friends of the Senior Citizens of Putnam County, Inc. (FSCPC) is sponsoring its 11th Annual "Over 50" Golf Tournament. This event will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Vails Grove Golf Club. Fifty-six golf enthusiasts will tee off at 9am and play 18 holes of golf, which, it is hoped, will top the success of their last ten tournaments.

To make this a most exciting outing, they are seeking sponsors for each of the golf holes. Sponsor donations are $25 per hole and names will be posted at each tee. Checks should be made payable to Friends of the Senior Citizens and mailed to 110 Old Route Six, Building #1, Carmel, NY 10512.

As a non-profit organization, the Friends of the Senior Citizens of Putnam County, Inc. is committed to helping the Office for the Aging enhance the quality of life for all seniors in Putnam County through fundraising efforts. With support of benefactors such as you, they have achieved many goals they thought would be unreachable.

In addition to continuing their beautification program around the four Office for the Aging Friendship Centers, they are starting their fifth year of their Out of County Medical Transportation Program. This enables seniors with no other means of transportation an opportunity to seek medical help outside the county within a 30-mile radius. They are also supporting the Senior Net Program in Mahopac and the Putnam Valley Senior Center.
