Putnam County Discovery Center Announces Auditions for Fall Show
What is the month of October without a little spooky fun? This fall The Putnam Children's Discovery Center invites children ages 10-15 to come be performers in its Halloweenthemed show on October 26 and 27. Pre-registration is required by July 27.
All children who register for this show must attend a casting audition. Auditions will be held at Croton Falls Community Church Route 22 in Croton Falls, on Friday, August 10 at 7pm.
Regular rehearsals will be held Fridays from 7-10pm and some Saturdays 1- 4pm beginning September 7. Please note that there will be 1 or 2 rehearsals the week of August 27. PCDC is excited to announce a new venue for rehearsals and some performances at the Croton Falls Community Church on Rte 22 (just before the town of Croton Falls). The cost for being in the play is $299 (nonmembers) and $275 (PCDC members). Sibling price is $236 (non-members) and $225 (members).
Children who have not acted with PCDC previously must attend a fall acting program in order to participate in the fall play. This acting series, which is open to non-performers as well, runs 4 Saturdays from 12- 1 pm beginning Sept 29-Oct 20. The cost is $75 ($65 members) and is open to ages 4-15. The classes will be taught by Rebecca Rabinowitz and Rose Bisogno, two local women with extensive professional theater experience.
