Hudson Highlands Nature Museum Program: Invertebrates and Plankton, what Does This Small World Look Like?
Visit the banks of the Hudson River on Saturday, July 21 at 10 am, Kowawese Unique Area, Route 9W, New Windsor, where the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will answer the question: "Invertebrates and Plankton: What does this small world look like?"
Come use microscopes and pictures while exploring this miniature world of life. Planaria, scuds, dragonfly larva and all sorts of fascinating creatures can be found! Watch as the plankton net collects samples from the Hudson for up close observation.
The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum's Saturday Nature Programs are a series of interactive educational programs about the science, natural history and environment of the Hudson Highlands. An educator from the Museum will begin with a discussion and move on to a participatory activity. Learn and have fun at the same time!
Nature of the Hudson Saturday Programs meet at 10am at the picnic area near the parking lot, Kowawese Unique Area, Route 9W, New Windsor. (The entrance is across from Anthony's Pier 9 and just south of Toyota of Newburgh.) All ages are welcome! General Admission is $5. Museum members: $3.
