2007 Office for the Aging's Humanitarian Award Winner is Phyllis Baumann
This year's Putnam County Office for the Aging's Humanitarian Award winner is Phyllis Baumann of Brewster.
The Putnam County Office for the Aging's RSVP Program is honored and proud to have Phyllis, a dedicated volunteer, in their program. She not only volunteers in the Southeast Eagle Eye Thrift Shop, selling wares to benefit Putnam County Hospital, but she teaches the AARP Driver Safety Program course at the Hospital Center, teaching safety tips and helping older drivers to improve their skills and avoid traffic accidents and violations.
Phyllis is a retired Home Economics teacher and is a member of the Alpha Omicron Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International and has served in this group as president, secretary, and is currently treasurer. She is also an active member of the Fieldstone Pond Homeowner's Association. Her tireless contributions to her community and the county have earned her this very special 2007 RSVP award.
