Antique Car Show at Locust Grove
Take a step back in time as Locust Grove, the Samuel Morse Historic Site, presents an antique car show on the great lawns of this National Historic Site on Sunday, July 15, 2007. This classic car event is more than just a car show; in addition to seeing antique and hot rods in an historic setting, come enjoy the grounds, heritage gardens, vistas, and trails of this 180-acre estate.
The grounds will be open to visitors from 8am-4pm. Whether a classic or a rod and custom, only show cars from 1977 or older invited. All show cars must be on the field by noon as judging will begin at 1pm, and the award ceremony will begin at 3pm. Awards will be given to the top cars from each of the decades represented in the show. Admission is $5, children 12 years and under are free.
Show car registration is $10 in advance, $15 on the day of event. Early registration suggested as space is limited. For a car show registration form, please visit Locust Grove's Web site www.morsehistoricsite.org, under calendar of events.
