Gathering Sunbeams at Stony Kill Farm

The sun brings life to the earth - come learn how! On Saturday, July 14 at 10am at Stony Kill Farm Environmental Education Center a naturalist will lead activities that explore the sun's ability to create electricity in solar panels, heat solar ovens and greenhouses, and produce sugar in plants. Handson demonstrations and tasty treats will be available for all participants.

For more information about "Gathering Sunbeams" at Stony Kill Farm contact Ryan Bulson at 845-831-8780, ext. 325. Stony Kill Farm Environmental Education Center is owned and operated by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, and is located in Wappingers Falls, on state route 9D, about 2 miles north of the Beacon-Newburgh bridge (I- 84).
