West Point's Cadet Glee Club Featured with the U.S. Military Academy Band
The United States Military Academy Band continues its popular Music Under the Stars concert series with a performance featuring the West Point's Cadet Glee Club. Held at West Point's Trophy Point Amphitheatre on Sunday, July 22 at 7:30pm, the concert will also showcase Glee Club alumni, including appearances by the Headliners and the Glee Club Barbershop Quartet.
Beginning at 6:15pm, the Headliners, a folk singing group, and alumni Cadet Barbershop Quartet will open the concert festivities. Subsequently, the current Cadet Glee Club, under the direction of Constance Chase, will take the stage at 7:30pm. Their performance will include a myriad of military selections, including West Point's Alma Mater and The Corps. In addition, the Battle Hymn of the Republic and a World War II medley will be performed. Finally, the USMA Band will share the stage with the Glee Club to conclude the concert with crowd favorites America the Beautiful and Armed Forces Medley. The patriotic theme of this unique musical collaboration is sure to rouse its audience.
