Athletes For A Cure to Hold Informational Meeting
Athletes For A Cure: The Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be holding a free informational meeting on Saturday, August 11 at 10am at the Parker Corp. Building in White Plains, Wednesday, August 15 at 6:30pm at the Bronxville Library, Thursday, August 16 at 6:30pm at the Katonah Library and on Thursday, August 23 at 6pm at the Parker Corp. Building in White Plains to explain its Team In Training program, which is recruiting both novice and veteran athletes for their winter events.
These include the Walt Disney World ½ Marathon (Orlando, FL) and P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon and ½ Marathon (Phoenix, AZ). In return for raising funds to find a cure for blood cancers, participants will receive expert coaching and be sent to the destination of choice.
