Cold Spring Lions Club Announces New Slate of Officers

The Cold Spring Lions Club announced their newly elected slate of officers for the 2007- 2008 year. Lion President John Merante will step down this month, and his duties will be assumed by President-elect Fred Clarke. As president, John Merante led the club through almost $25,000 in donations to needy causes, including scholarships for Cold Spring and Garrison high school students, community service events for area seniors, hurricane-aid for victims of Katrina, and support of various charities serving the sight impaired.

The 2007-2008 slate of officers are Fred Clarke, president; Tim Greco, first vice president; Tom Lilly, second vice-president; Bruce Campbell, third vice-president; Beth Greco, Secretary and Treasurer; Chuck Hustis, Tailtwister; David Lilburne, Lion Tamer; Bruce Campbell, Membership and Leo Chair; and Donna Tiffany, assistant Leo Chair. The 2007-2008 Board of Directors are Betty Budney, Cathy Greenough, Ann Nichter, Marlene Bowman and Sandy Fallon.
