Lives Could Be Endangered if Fire Dept. Not Updated
To the Editor:

In 1974 I bought property in the Highlands; when I retired from teaching in 1991 I made Valhalla Highlands my permanent residence. One major reason I did this is the proximity to the North Highlands Fire Department to Valhalla. As beautiful as the Highlands is, most of the homes are wood.

The Valhalla community is composed of young families, elderly persons whose lives could be endangered.

I admire the valiant volunteers who serve this area, and I certainly agree with them that the Fire Department needs serious updating. I hope whoever reads this letter agrees with them.

The North Highlands Fire Department has my vote; does it have yours?
