Back By Popular Demand… Putnam Valley Sunset Series To Feature Urban Legend and Perpetrator

Urban Legend and Perpetrator are no strangers to the Putnam Valley Sunset Series stage. Both classic rock bands have performed numerous times in Putnam Valley including the 2006 Sunset Series and Town Day. Back by popular demand, you will get to see these fabulous performers on stage again, August 7, at Leonard Wagner Memorial Town Park at the Sunset Series Free Concert.

Opening the evening is Perpetrator, playing classic rock tunes from bands such as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Who, Chuck Berry, John Fogerty, U2, Neil Young and more. The members of Perpetrator, Robin Newhook singing some great lead vocals and guitar, Rich Newhook on lead guitar, Tom Slater on guitar and harmonica. Doug Taub on bass and Ray Ranalli on drums and vocals, have over 20 years experience playing rock and roll in clubs in NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Putnam, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In addition to their background in rock and roll, their musical backgrounds also include playing classical, jazz and blues music. Some of their prior bands included the Resistors, Cheap Date, Razer X, Undercover, amd The Band-aids.

Closing the evening is Urban Legends, a group of dynamic veteran musicians; rich in rock, blues and jazz influences, and crossing over into several different genres. They perform at public and private fuctions, as well as civic and charitable events. Co-founding "Legends" members Dennis Jarosz and Pete Somma, electrify their audiences with blueeyed soul renditions and stinging guitar work. The band occasionally features legendary sax player, Stephen Riley. The "Legends'" newest member, drummer (Corey Moeller "the kid") formerly of "Illusion", adds gasoline to an already volatile mixture. These days, you'll find the Urban Legends tearing it up at a place near you. Come on out and meet a Legend.

Putnam Valley Arts' "Art In The Park" will feature local artists including Jessica Ellard (exhibit coordinator), Esther McHenry, Carolyn Smith, Red Todd and more.

Bring a picnic dinner or visit the concession stand. Do not forget your lawn chair or blanket. For additional information please call Putnam Valley Parks & Recreation Department or visit www.PVSunset.com,
