Sara-Jo Etta and Maximilian Schlubach Were Wed in May
Sara-Jo Etta and Maximilian Schlubach were united in marriage on Saturday May 5, 2007, at Our Lady of Loretto in Cold Spring. The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Brian McSweeny and was followed by a reception at the Dutchess Manor.
Parents of the bride are Joseph Etta of Cold Spring, and Lee Ann Dirito and Robert Miceli of Mahopac. Parents of the groom are Jane Schlubach of Istanbul, Turkey and Gaspar Schlubach of Fahrenkrug, Germany.
Given in Marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Julie Etta, the bride's sister, and long time friends Neoma Chefalo, Correna Pidala, and Katie Tillman as the maid of Honor. The bride's niece Jada Miceli was the flower girl. The groom was attended by Tony Cassaci (his brotherin law) and also best man. Groomsmen were Eric Schlubach the groom's brother and friends Ted Robollo and Andrew Rocco. The Jr. groomsman was Joseph Etta Jr. (the bride's brother) and the ring bearer was the bride's nephew Joseph Miceli.
Max and Sara met and studied together at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. Sara graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice in 2005 and Max graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Justice Studies in 2006. Both are working in Manhattan. Sara is currently employed by Morgan Stanley as the team lead of the IT Finance Expense Batcher group, and Max is employed by Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in Investment Management. The couple honeymooned in the Rivera Maya, Mexico, and they will reside in Astoria, NY.
