Lawrence Gullo Graduates with Honors from University of the Arts, London
Lawrence Gullo, son of Edward Gullo and Eileen Charbonneau of Cold Spring recently graduated from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, part of University of the Arts, London. Lawrence's Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors is in Graphic Design: Illustration. A resident of Cold Spring and graduate of Haldane Elementary School and Poughkeepsie Day School, Lawrence works at Merritt Books (recently painting faces as Professor Lockhart during the Harry Potter Festivities). He will be applying for a visa to extend his stay in the United Kingdom for a year as he seeks employment in his field.
During his four years of study, Lawrence took part in an intensive Master Class in Prague with Czech puppet artists led by Miroslav Trejtnar. The class was attended by artists from Singapore, Italy, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, the U.S.A. and Australia. Teachers were specialists in woodcarving, film model making, performance, and animation.
Also during his tenure at Central St Martins, Lawrence's comic, I,Castrato was chosen for publication in Side A, a collection of music lovers' graphic
