Haldane Volleyball Players Shine at ESG
The Empire State Games scholastic volleyball scene certainly had a Haldane feel to it, what with three slammers making the pace University scene, including (L-R) Megan Lyons, Danielle Etta and Caitlin McConville all vying for top honors. The terrific trio settled for bronze during a pendulumlike performance. After a sluggish 1-2 start, HV got hot, shocked eventual champ Western in pool play, went on a fourgame tear and finally came up short in the medal round against Western. Still, this event served as a stepping stone for these three top-notch seniors, who hope to win Haldane's first NYSPHSAA volleyball title this fall.
