Three Workshops Offered at Southeast Museum Flower Arranging for adults, Cornhusk Dolls and Flower Pounding for children slated
The Southeast Museum will be offering a number of workshops in August, two for children and one for adults.
On Saturday, August 11 at 10:30am The Southeast Museum will hold a Cornhusk Doll Children's Workshop. Wherever corn was grown as crop, children used husk to fashion dolls. Children will be able to make their very own cornhusk doll or warrior.
On Saturday, August 18 at 10:30am the Museum will hold a Flower Pounding Children's Workshop. Learn to create a colorful fabric square using fresh flowers and a clever fabric technique.
A flower arranging workshop for adults will take place on Sunday, August 19 at 12 noon. This workshop will be held at the Ryder Farm on Starr Ridge Rd in Brewster. Betsy Ryder will guide participants in the art of designing beautiful floral arrangements.
Reservations are required for all programs. Please call 845- 279-7500. Materials fee is $5 for each program.
The Museum's hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10am-4pm. The Southeast Museum is located at 67 Main Street, in the Village of Brewster.
