Paramount Center for the Arts Receives Funding for 3rd Annual One World Arts & Culture Fest
The Paramount Center for the Arts (PCA) in Peekskill, NY is pleased to announce and recognize the funders of its Third Annual One World Arts & Culture Fest, the region's only multi-day festival celebrating world cultures and their arts. The celebration will take place at the Paramount from Wednesday, September 12 - Sunday, September 16, 2007, highlighted by a free day of music headlined by Cuban Jazz trumpeter/ composer Aurturo Sandoval on Sunday, September 16.
The Paramount Center for the Arts is located in one of the most racially diverse parts of Northern Westchester County. With this festival, it is the PCA's objective to intensify its outreach, deepen its ties, and build new relationships within the community.
Major funding for the One World Arts and Cultural Fest is provided by the Westchester Community Foundation, a nonprofit community endowment for the benefit of Westchester County. Its mission is to develop and manage philanthropic resources, and to distribute them in a way that is responsive to donor interests and community needs. The Foundation actively promotes charitable giving on behalf of the area's non-profit organizations. WCF is a division of the New York Community Trust, the largest community foundation in the country with assets of approximately $2 billion.
The Paramount also wishes to recognize Ginsburg Development Companies, the National Endowment for the Arts, Westchester Community College, Westchester Arts Council, New York State Council on the Arts, Air Jamaica, and The Journal News for their financial support of the event.
A complete schedule of events for the Third Annual One World Arts and Cultural Fest will be announced later this summer. For more information, please call (914) 739-2333 or visit paramountcenter.org.
