Blowing off Steam Parade Costume Winners Announced
The Blowing off Steam parade and Robert Fulton Festival put on by the WPEDC was fun for all. Robert Fulton, who looked a bit like Jonathan Kruk, told stories of his steamboat trials and marched in the parade, the Putnam County Historical Society had pictures of the steamboats and the eSteam Parade Costume Judges Barbara D'Alessio, Don MacDonald and Ann Rieger chose the following wonderful children for A High eSteam Costume Award: Arden Bennet, Tess Foster, Randy Schirer, William Speciali, Freya Wood-Gallagher and Ronan Wood-Gallagher. 200 wooden whistles were handed out at the end of the parade and the streets were lined with watchers. The Cold Spring Fire Company Pipe Band was a special addition to the parade and as always the police helped paraders go safely down the street. Providing local news, information and opinions from
