Re-enactment Weekend at Constitution Island Takes Place August 25-26
Civil War re-enactors, West Point army mules, Hudson River boat rides & guided tours featured
The Constitution Island Association in partnership with The Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce present "Reenactment Weekend at Constitution Island" on August 25- 26, from 10am to 3pm both days, rain or shine.
Civil War re-enactors will camp on Constitution Island and perform various demonstrations of military activities. West Point army mules will be on hand- eager to be fed peppermint treats. Scenic Hudson River boat rides will be provided. And fun and informative guided tours of the Warner House and Revolutionary War ruins will be given throughout the day. This weekend is a favorite with parents with young children.
Admission is $10 per adult; $9 for seniors and children under 6 free. The Entrance Gate to Constitution Island is located at the south-end of the Metro- North Cold Spring train station parking lot. A shuttle bus will take visitors across a causeway and to/from the Island, continually. Free parking is provided at the Cold Spring station parking lot.
