Breast Cancer Program Initiative to be Held at Putnam Hospital Center

Putnam Hospital Center announces a new initiative by the Stillpoint Foundation of Walpole, NH - Women Moving Through Breast Cancer (WMTBC). WMTBC was developed in response to an expressed need from women who are struggling to heal body and spirit after a diagnosis of breast cancer and is a unique program offering small group support that helps women recognize and develop their inner spiritual resources in order to claim a new and more authentic life direction. It is targeted to serve women who have completed, or who are nearing completion of treatment.

Using a process specifically for breast cancer survivors, Women Moving Through Breast Cancer is an 8-week intensive program that will help women understand the connection between the health of body, mind, and spirit, enabling them to move forward with their lives with a more centered, integrated, spiritual identity. Through this unique healing program, women will learn to approach loss with compassion for themselves and others, generate their own inner wisdom through the essential process of grieving, and make room for the goodness of "Grace" in their lives.

Women Moving Through Breast Cancer will be facilitated by Dorothy Whalen-Budnick, LCSW, RN, CASAC, CIH, a licensed clinical social worker, registered nurse, who has been in private practice for 19 years. In addition, she is a graduate of the Stillpoint School of Integrative Life Healing and has received advanced training in the WMTBC curriculum.

The group will meet on Fridays, beginning September 7 through November 12 for two hours from 1 to 3 pm. Please call the Stillpoint office (800) 847-4014 or (603) 756-9281 for more information or to reserve your spot in this free program.
