Re: Cold Spring's New Sign Law Ruled Unconstitutional
Dear Editor:
This headline (CNN&R 8/1/ 07) made me proud to be a resident of our serene little hamlet. Text of the article aside, it brought up visions of all those classic underdog versus colossus struggles where the longshot "little guy" fights the good fight, even when he doesn't prevail.
This event should be memorialized for future generations. The Village Board could commission a tasteful sign, vetted for constitutionality, and have it installed along Route 9D or in the Village office as a reminder.
