Franciscan Friars of the Atonement to Host 14th Annual Sharing Hope Celebration Dinner
The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement will host their Fourteenth Annual Sharing Hope Celebration Dinner at The Pierre in New York City on Friday, October 12, 2006, at 7pm.
Each year the friars honor those who have shown a commitment to helping others and inspire hope. This year the Graymoor Award will be presented to Victor Coudert, Jr of Greenwich, CT, Knight of St. Gregory the Great, Knight of Magistral Grace in Obedience of the Order of Malta, and Knight Commander of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, for his commitment to volunteerism and his work with Catholic organizations. The Graymoor Community Service Award will be awarded to The Maccioni Family, proprietors of Le Cirque Restaurant in recognition of their spirit of generosity and hospitality and their dedication to family.
The evening benefits the friars' ministries in the U.S., Canada, England, Italy and Japan which include promoting ecumenism and interreligious dialogue, housing the homeless, helping those seeking recovery from alcoholism and chemical dependency and those living with HIV/AIDS, and providing spiritual renewal for all in need.
