9/11 Memorial Ceremony to be Held at Graymoor

The Friars of the Atonement and the Garrison Volunteer Fire Company will hold a 9/11 memorial ceremony on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 8:30am, at Graymoor, home to a World Trade Center Memorial Cross. All are welcome.

The Cross was erected by the Ironworkers of Local 40, NYC with material from the WTC site as a simple yet powerful tribute to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, whose motherhouse is at Graymoor, is a Roman Catholic religious community founded in 1898 by Father Paul Wattson. Their worldwide ministries include Christian unity; interfaith dialogue among Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Buddhists; serving the homeless and those suffering from alcoholism, drug addictions, and HIV/AIDS; preaching the gospel in parishes around the world, and offering respite and hope to those in need of spiritual renewal.
