Every Person Influences Children Workshops Promote Positive Parenting
EPIC is a series of workshops designed to promote positive parenting. If you ever wonder why you need a license to drive a car, but there is no license to do the most important job in the world? EPIC is for you!
EPIC is a national not-forprofit program whose mission is to help parents, teachers and community members raise children to become responsible adults. EPIC parenting workshops are free and offered through the support of the Putnam Valley Central School District's Health Advisory Committee. The workshop curriculum offers parents strategies for coping with the many emotional, ethical and logistical issues they face every day; helps parents feel less isolated in confronting these issues; and fosters confidence and a sense of community. They are cofacilitated by Putnam Valley parents and teachers who have completed the EPIC facilitator training. For more info: www.epicfforchildren.org
The EPIC workshops will run on Thursdays, September 27, October 4, 11, and 18 2007, from 7:30-9pm at Putnam Valley Middle School. Refreshments will be served. Contact Jodi Sepa (845) 528-8101 ext. 2259 jsepa@pvcsd.org
