Perinatal Loss Workshop to be Held At Putnam Hospital Center
Putnam Hospital Center and Hospice Care in Westchester & Putnam, Inc., are cosponsoring a workshop on coping with perinatal loss. It will be held on Tuesday, September 25, from 6 to 7:30pm at the hospital located at 670 Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel. The workshop, presented by Marianne Walsh, MS, CT, Hospice Sharing Circle Coordinator, will provide an environment of understanding and acceptance for parents who have experienced a loss during pregnancy, at birth or shortly after birth. Individuals will explore sensitive issues surround the loss and be encouraged to search for meaning and validation. Coping mechanisms and memory making will also be discussed.
